How do I know if my water broke?

That's what Google decided to auto-finish for me when I was simply asking her"How do I know if my cake is fully cooled?" I'm not preggo, people!

I baked a cake last night. I made something super cool that required me to let the cake fully cool before doing anyyything with it. I wanted to ensure my cake was cool, and figured Google, my main bitch, would know! Google auto-finish is insane...what's the weirdest thing that's popped up for you?

But look what I made last night for my girlfrands!

via bakerella..mine did NOT come out this good!
CupCake Pops! Check out Bakerella.com for these adorable little mouth-gasms!

It was the first time I made them and they came out SO AMAZING..first try! yeah right...I won't lie to ya'll. I had to pretty much do it twice. The recipe calls for baking a cake and mixing it with frosting..then you have to roll it into little balls. Well, the first try, I used too much frosting and it looked like corn muffin mix. Exhibit A.

It was too mooshy to make into little balls..so it was back to the store I went. The yellow cake mix was cursed, I think. So I decided on chocolate. I measured out the frosting like a good little Betty Crocker and VOILA...Exhibit B

Then we had to make them into little cupcakes and dip them in chocolate. Kurt is a chocolate ADDICT. Exhibit C. (yes he ate the leftover melted chocolate)

Then we decorated them. Exhibit D

And I packeged them up all pretty with little bows and they came out amazing! I even made extras of course to try at home and distribute to my lovely family and impress them with my baking skills that were once never there.
There are so many cool things on Bakerella...some that scare the shit out of me because I don't know who could have the time, patience, or temper to make little intricate bunny rabbit cake pops with eyelashes. Not this girl..but one day, I will try.

Tonight I'm seeing my college roommates we are going to dinner in Boston and I am freakin PSYCHED! I miss them! :)

Love you all..Happy Humpday!

I can make myself look like Lil Wayne

Aren't I pretty?

There's me normal, and there's me WEEZ-I-FIED!
(Shh...don't tell anyone else that I paid $2.00 for that iPhone app)

So I went to the Lil Wayne concert this weekend and holy crap..I'm leaving my boyfriend for him.

Remember when I told you guys in previous posts about how Kurt and I fought about what he was going to open with? We were BOTH WRONG. I guessed A Milli, he guessed something newer, like 6 foot 7 foot. But he opened with "I'm Goin In"...amazing amazing amazing!

Highlights?
  • Nicki Minaj gave weezy a lap dance (she has a huuuuuge bee-hind, holy moly)
  • He emerged at one point with no shirt and we could see his glistening muscles...scrumptious
  • Extra guests included DJ Khaled, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes...AH AH AH!
  • I think I got high..I don't smoke and wasn't smoking, but I think I got high because so many people in the arena were smokin' the doobie. I think this because as soon as we got to our hotel room, I had the munchies.
Needless to say, the concert was a huge success and I am in even more love with him than ever before! Due to the fact that the arena was so smoky and foggy, I couldn't get a good enough pic for you guys with my iphone! We had great seats! But I had to take this pic of the jumbo tron because pics of him were too foggy!

YUMMY!

What else did I do this weekend? We stopped at Kurt's house in Jersey before driving to the concert the next day on Long Island. I walked all of his dogs.

Okay, so only for the picture..and only the Shepard is his..the Chihuahua's are one of his sisters!

What did you guys do this past weekend!?

Do you want to be a teen mom, sport a blowout, be a newlywed in front of a camera?

I'm having my lovely bloggy friend Carissa guest post for me today! Love her...Check her out, seriously!!
*******
Well hello all of Erica's lovely followers!

This chick is super psyched to make your acquaintance.

Photobucket
(that's my excited face... and yes that's a man hand touching it)

My name is Carissa aka Rissy, and you can usually find me over HERE!

Today, Erica is driving her sweet ride back from the Lil Wayne concert so we won't make her blog.

I will do it for her!

I like to ask my bloggy friends questions sometimes...

So today I have one for you.

What is your price?

Uh oh! Did I just lose some of you???

Stay with me please...

I just want to know what your price would be to participate in a reality show.

I mean let's be honest guys...

There are so many reality shows out there, I think there is a pretty good chance that at least one of you will be involved in one someday.

They are taking over the world!

I personally have considered sending in an application to be a contestant on the Bachelor...

Not to find love, but just to say I did it (but that's another story).

Look around ya'll...

Every D list celebrity (what up Kathy Griffin) and their weirdo spouse seems to be getting a reality show these days...

Or every person who has a large number of kids (or wives EEEKKKK) or gives birth before the age of 20.

Oh and I almost forgot all the people with drinking problems getting their own shows... hello Jersey Shore and the Real World.

I am not criticizing.... not even close!

I love these shows! I watch 90% of them... and if my parents would spring for Style and Oxygen, I'd watch even more. (thank goodness my parents aren't encouraging this behavior)

From watching these shows, I have actually learned something...

Seriously!

Reality tv ruins lives.

Any show that is in season 2 can't help but highlight its stars or star dealing with a whole lot of backlash because of new found fame or delusional behavior for the exact same reason....

Fame changes people! Even if it is just a teensy little bit of it. I mean imagine how you would act if you saw your own face on tv every week at 8pm...

So back to my original question...

How much would you charge a network to change your life (probably not for the better) forever?

I'd ask for 50 grand an episode.

KIDDING! (well kinda)

P.S. I am a HUGE Real Housewives fan which is actually what prompted this post. However, if I mention that show I will go on and on and on and on... and let's be honest, you guys all have lives to live. So I'll let you go : )

3 donts at the gym!

First let me start off by telling you all that I will be uploading my questions VLOG tomorrow! How excited are you!?

Something happened though with my comment stuff because I fooled around with it..so if you didn't see your question under the comments, it was sent to my email and isn't showing up on my blog..don't worry, I got it though! Don't ask..no idea how that even happened.

So as many of you might know from previous blog posts, I am in love with this Boston blogger. I've posted her videos before just because she is so hilarious, and literally tells you how it is. I saw this video blog she did a few weeks ago about people that piss her off at the gym. Take a looksie.

Last night, I was at the gym and got so enraged I wanted to start spraying this man with the spray bottle they leave on the machines. As I held myself back from possibly being banned from my YMCA forever, I compiled a list of 3 DONTS that people should abide by in the gym!

1) Dudes...stop grunting as you lift weights. You are not impressing
annnyone, and frankly, you sound like fat pigs who are out of shape and
sloppy and gross and nasty and can't control your nasty noises. And while
you're at it, don't be so obvious when staring girls' ass/legs/body.
2) As Jenna said, don't stare at my machine and see what I'm doing and
then copy me! Do I look like a professional workout-er? NO! I just do what I do
and hope it works! This is what ticked me off last night. Some man kept looking
over at my calorie count so much that I actually had to cover it up with my cell
phone. I glared at him and I don't think he turned towards me the
rest of the workout. I scared that man and he probably went runnin' to his mama!

3) Don't stand so close to me while you're waiting to use my machine. At my gym,
we have sign-up sheets for the cardio machines so that people know when it's
their turn. Fine, whatever. But downstairs, that's where all the weight machines
are. I was doing a leg workout last night and some woman started standing
ON MY ASS waiting to get on the machine. Go away!

Was this a rant? Meh. Am I the only one who notices this?! Do you guys have pet peeves about the gym and the people you encounter?!

xoxoxo Happy Thursday cuties! This was my 100th post!

I live HERE..so who is visiting me? Pretty please

Hi how ah yah? <--- sad excuse for typing a Boston accent.

I'm linking up with *a little bit of this & that* to share with you all about where I live on the map! She had such a good idea to do this!! :) It made me happy/sad at the same time because in her map, a bunch of you live in "close proximity" to me, but a lot of you aren't!

Ladies and gents, welcome to MAH CITY. Boston.

Okay well, to be honest, I actually live about 10 minutes South of Boston in a suburban town. But I love living in Massachusetts. I will try not to make this too wordy because really, does ANYONE want to hear the history of Massachusetts? No. So, in photos taken by MOI, here are a few reasons why I freakin' love this place!

We have delicious lobster. Lobster is my favorite food of ALL TIME. Nothin better than dunking a chunk of lobster into melted butter!

Speaking of food, we have a delicious food festival called The Phantom Gourmet Food Festival. Basically it's a day filled with all types of food and drinks from restaurants all around MA and parts of New Hampshire/Maine.

I think this day I sampled burgers, pizza, ribs, ice cream, shrimp, beer, chips, etc etc! I felt like a fatty bo batty all day.

And we have amazing sports teams. Top notch, baby! Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics. Really! Even if you aren't from MA, you can go see any of these games and have a freakin' blast! 9$ beers later and maybe a few drunk d-bags, it's an awesome time!! But stay away from Fenway if you are a Yankee's fan! Justtt kidding :)

We also have Cape Cod. A lil piece of heaven on earth. It's about an hour drive from where I live to get to parts of the Cape and it's BEEEAUTIFUL! Beaches, cute shops, restaurants. Love.

One of the worst things about living in Massachusetts is the damn traffic. Literally. Why do you people NEEEEEED to be driving around causing traffic? Go home! Let me rule the road. But really..it sucks!

This past summer, my friends and I were heading into Boston to meet a friend who lives there. We're on one of the busiest highways IN the city, in bumper-to-bumper traffic. My car decides to break down in the middle of it all. Yup. Just won't start. People are beeping, cursing, flippin me the big bird. Ah! Worst ever. OH  YEAH..it also happened to be the day where it was about 10000 degrees.

Here I am broken down, freakin' out.

Poor baby!! I fixed her and got her back!

Literally, I love Massachusetts. I have had the best life growing up here and met the most amazing people. I wouldn't change it at all. I made so many memories, and will be sad if I ever have to move for a job or something.

But wanna know THE BEST thing that Massachusetts has to offer? ME!!! I know, I know, you knew that didn't ya. Who wouldn't wanna come hang out with me? I can predict the weather for your arrival. (totally not a weather girl..haha just posing for a pic!)

Blogging has allowed me to meet so many people OUTSIDE of my own state which is so gratifying! I love hearing about stuff you guys do, and stuff you don't know. A lot of my blog posts I'll mention something, and some people will comment being like huh? What the eff is that? It's fun to learn about other people's lives! I love it! It might have something to do with the fact that I'm a creepy son of a B and like to stalk and find things out about people.

So who's visiting me first!? I will welcome you with open arms and a cold brewski! :)

Did you know this about me? Or did you know that I am a copy cat?

Did you know that me, a 22 year old Boston girl, has never in my life put milk in my cereal?

No, you probably didn't know this because:

A) I don't tell a lot of people (I let them find out themselves!)
B) You never see me eat cereal because I'm not on a 24 hour
webcam for you folks to watch me on (imagine!?)

I just think its soggy. There is nothing worse than soggy cereal, except maybe soggy bread. GAG! I eat dry cereal and I eat it with a spoon too!

I also have a weird reaction to certain apples (macintosh especially). When I eat them, my gums get itchy. I don't think its an allergy though because it's only when I eat them from grocery stores. Maybe it's what they spray on it. But if I'm pickin' and eatin' from an apple orchard, I can eat any apple!

That's a green apple. It's not a mouthguard or something like that haha

Why am I telling you these facts!? I'm being a copy cat. I'm copying my girl Carissa from Carissa Explains It All.
her button!! (courtesy of her blog!)
She is funny. And she is basically awesome. And I wish she lived closer so we could go wreak havoc on any city we stumble upon. Stupid USA making states so far apart. Anywho...she did a vlog a week or so ago where she answered ya'lls questions about her!

So I wanna do it too!

Ask me some questions here on my comments and I will answer them in a vlog.

Go ahead...ask away!!

Love you all!

My AMAZING weekend in pictures

Friday's 70 degree gorgeous weather was such a tease. Wanna know why? Let me tell you why. Today is the first day of Spring, and here in New England, the forecast is rain/sleet! Yeeehaw! It's okay though. Spring is springing soon and I'm loving it.

I've had my car for about 4 years. It is a 2001 Pontiac. It was given to me from my grandmother. FOR FREE. Could I complain? Hell no! Could I hate the fact that it's rated one of the ugliest cars in the world? No! Seriously. Look at this beaster!

Pontiac Aztek. It's an outdoorsy car, came with a pop out tent. It was good to me for those 4 years! Got me and my friends around! But for the past week or so, it's been crying at me to retire it! Literally I got so sad. Don't you get sad when you have to give up a car? I wouldn't know! This was my first car of MY OWN!

Saturday morning started like any day. Woke up with my man, sat on the couch, ate cereal, creeped Facebook, talked about what we wanted to do that day. I started browsing for used cars online..this chick's not makin the millions yet!

I looked at ....pretty much anything and everything.
GMC
Acura
Infiniti
Ford
Hyundai
The list went on. My boyfriend has a BMW. It's very snazzy and I'm obsessed. So he casually says 'check out used BMW's...they're a great car and last for so long.' So of course, I jump at that, not thinking I'd find anything. But I did. A 2004 BMW X3 (The BMW SUV) It was in Boston. And I wanted to go look at it THAT SECOND. So we went. Did a little test drive, and I was in love.

The price was fantastic for my budget! I'd never bought a car before on my own, paying for it myself, all that jazz. So after consulting with the parents, they thought it'd be a perfect car for me! So Sunday I brought the parents and boyfriend with me back to the dealership and I was so surprised to see this!!

Just kidding..if you read closely, it says 'Happy 25th Birthday Dana!...Love mom and dad!'

Dana, I effing hate you.

But I loved my car! So we finaliazed some shizz and the car was MINE!!! Well, it'll be mine either tomorrow or Wednesday when I go pick it up! I felt so accomplished. It was my first big purchase in life and I'm doing it on my own which I absolutely love :) It will be such an accomplishment!

But how in the world did I go from the world's ugliest car, to this luxury thing? I will never know.

Happy Monday!

It's Friday! Here's a video for your viewing pleasure! :)

There is nothing better than waking up at 6:30 and it already being 51 degrees. Holy heaven. We have been WAITING for this weather! It's a gorgeous day and it's even better because it's Friday! Who's coming to Boston to frolic with me over the weekend in this sun!? Anyone? :o)

We went for a run yesterday. We won't mention the fact that I was huffing and puffing. I can't keep up with my man.

Stopped for a pose? Sure, why not!

Oh I hate my knees. I think they look super weird. Blech.

You know what's so adorable? If you have or have had a dog, you know this. When a dog does something bad that he/she isn't supposed to, how cute is it that they look away from you in guilt. I mean don't get me wrong..I loved finding Barbie shoes and small legos in my dog's poop..but it's the guilty look that just made me go Awww!

This video is so funny and cute! Enjoy :)

Happy Friday my lovies!

10 more days....EEEEK!!!

Hi!
In 10 days, I am going to be rapping along with THEE hottest piece of the rap world in the entire freakin world.

Last night I was doing my hair in the bathroom while listening to weezy f baby. I'm probably only 3 verses away from knowing every word to 6 Foot 7 Foot. Are you super jelly of me? I know you are.

I am so excited and just have to share even more exciting news about this. So I was browsing the internet and found that weezy was going on tour.
I'm probably the coolest person you'll ever meet.
No but really..can you SEE weezy! (Oh..and no I don't smoke lol)
Literally...I screamed...AT WORK.

So I look and look and the closest he's gonna be to Boston is Long Island. Fine, whatever..we saw him on Long Island 2 summers ago. We ordered tickets in the pre-sale and got some ILL tickets let me tell you! Doesn't a month ago Weezy's "people add PROVIDENCE RHODE ISLAND to his tour list? Yeah. Ugh! It annoyed me because now we have to drive almost 5 hours to NY instead of 40 minutes to RI! At first I was cranky about it but then I really didn't care because I was seeing him regardless.
my weezy coozie..dont hate..appreciate!
We are staying overnight so we don't have to drive home after. We booked a hotel literally a walk across the parking lot away from the concert arena. So it's exciting to me because what if Lil Wayne will also stay at that hotel since its RIGHT THERE! This is my convo with Kurt about it.

Erica: I think he'll be at our hotel because he's doing a
show there 2 nights in a row so he won't be going home.

Kurt: Yeah well he probably has a really nice tour bus he'll stay in.

Erica: No, he'll be in a hotel I know it..possibly ours.

Kurt: We're going to be like, 30 minutes from NYC. Don't you think he'll go
to a nicer hotel in the city instead of the Marriot?

Erica: No. Shut up

What do you guys think!? He might! Right..? 10 more days YES!!

Oh..Happy St. Paddy's Day!!! :)

3.16.2011

It's Wednesday and I'm in a random mooood ya DIG?

Just a few random things on my mind at this moment in time!

Last night I had the biggest moment of nostalgia while my
boyfriend was eating thin mint ice cream (umm genius??!!)
Remember Hoodsies? What happened to those.

I want one right meow.

I think I've died and gone to heaven watching this baby.
Literally, this baby is freakin ADORABLE! Makes me want a baby
just so I can do weird things to make him/her laugh.

Actually I think I have a knack for babies.

If there's a baby in a booth in front of me in a restaurant and he turns to look at me,
I'll make silly faces and he'll smile at me! Ahhhh I love it. But then
there's those bratty toddlers or 5 year olds who are just acting ridiculous
and I'll actually make mean, nasty, ugly faces at them. But I do
love kids I promise you that!!

Last night I made a delicious recipe from Bethenny Frankel's website.
It was so easy and so yummy. basically it was just chicken, red/green peppers,
onions, broccoli and marinara sauce all together and it came out superb! I was
proud, as was my hunny. Check her website out ... there are SO many good recipes!
And did I mention cocktail recipes too? Yup! Bethenny.com

Ski season is just about over..hoping to get one more mountain trip...

But this is almost here..warm weather. Can I get a Hallelujah?

Happy Humpday you pretty young thangs!
