Life's unanswered questions

Consider this a random stream of consciousness....

The other night I was sleeping and woke up to myself clutching my stuffed animal like there was no tomorrow (sorry Kurt?). It got me thinking--how do those parents sleep with their newborn babies in their own bed with them?! Clearly I know nothing about babies because I do not have one yet, but for real, how do 2 adult human sized people sleep with a teeny tiny baby without worrying about hurting it!? I don't think I ever could, only because I flip and flop like a pornstar in my sleep and wake up with the comforter turned the other way and pillows all over the place.

How come pitbulls are given such a bad rap? Last weekend at my friends graduation party, I got to meet her brothers pitbulls and they seriously couldn't stop licking my face and being cute as buttons. But after they licked me they chewed out my eyeballs and spit them into oncoming traffic of course. I think every dog can be dangerous---it' just how you raise them! I mean, I knew a poodle from a friends neighborhood who used to growl and chase people. Can you imagine a fluffy thing with pink pigtail bows chasing you with scary teeth?

I don't understand why Kurt (and guys in general) can't just say they want to watch The Bachelorette. Every week during The Bachelor, Kurt would say "I'm not watching this...I'm going to go play a computer game." But there he was, week after week, watching and laughing and then pretending not to. Just like the other night with Bachelorette---there he was, watching and laughing and then pretending not to! I even caught him smiling...at shirtless guy.

And finally, I don't understand how I have a boyfriend sometimes. Really though, have you ever looked through your photos on your phone and seen the most heinous pictures ever--like what were you thinking taking this selfie like this? I went through pics last night just deleting/rearranging and was just awestruck. Dear self--you sometimes look like Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohen's psychotic love child...stop taking these pictures!

Happy Hump Day friends!

Sexy men have magic sticks

When this song first came out, I used to belt it out like NO other! Especially Lil Kim's part--clearly I thought I was some type of bad bitch. But really...can you go wrong with 50 Cent? Those big arms...big lips...big.......magic stick? I kid I kid. I do love this song though.

Speaking of magic stick, the point of this song choice is because the Boston Bruin's weren't using their magic sticks to full potential last night when the NY Rangers decided to whoop their asses in overtime. If I'm being honest, I think one of my favorite sports to watch besides golf and gymnastics is hockey! It's rough, lively and fast-paced; completely different than golf and gymnastics--but you know, gotta be different. Especially when it involves hot men!

I may be biased, but the Boston Bruins have some pretty sexy players if I do say so myself
...am I right or am I right?

Oh! Lil Wayne how'd you sneak into there! While he obviously isn't a player, I love him that much more because he's a huuuuuge Boston sports fan---holla :-)

Anywho, I'm off to try and get Kurt to grow his hair mullet-style, get a black eye and pack a lip so he can resemble a hockey player for my fantasies. ;-)

And while you're at it, have the best weekend ever!

Advice=Needed!

Sometimes I feel like the blogworld is one big fashion, life and general knowledge forum and I like that I know I can ask you all for some advice on random things! I guess that's what I'm here about today. Ready?!

I've been looking for a maxi dress or skirt for like, 10 million years. If you ask Kurt, he will tell you maxi's are out of style because he happened to watch an episode of Rachel Zoe where she worried that her maxi's aren't being sold because they're going out of style. #KurtTheFashionista

Regardless, I still want one so I need some advice of where the heck I can find a good one! All of the ones I've tried on make my booty like weird or my bubbies too small!

After I finished the 50 Shades of Grey series I got such a strange inkling for erotic thrillers and novels. I mean I'm only human---I'm not going to reach through the paper pages and touch a ding-a-ling. Anywho....I started reading one based on my 50 Shades download and it wasn't too bad! But now, I'm really interested in finding a good, hard to put down book! I need some suggestions!

Most mornings I literally grab an eye shadow brush or sometimes my finger and slather on some eyeshadow--sometimes looking like I was just rolling in from a night with Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. I'll be honest and say that I can't do eyeshadow. I JUST CANT! I have no clue how you girls do it, but I need to be let in on this little secret. An easy tutorial? A way to make my eyes pop? Spill it! Pretty please?
Thank you all in advance! Help a sista out!! I trust all of you more than my own judgements!

And to conclude the randomness that ensued from this post, I am in AWE of this gif. If you concentrate hard enough, you can see the train going both ways. It is literally mind-boggling!

Happy Thursday!

Meeting a blogger is sort of like a first date--only more FABULOUS!!

Holy. Week. From. OMG. Hell.

However its Humpday and I can't complain, because even though the beginning of this week was rather rough, it went by fairly quick!

How about a weekend update a few days late? This past weekend I had THE ABSOLUTE PLEASURE of meeting such a little sweetheart here in blogland and I can't help but wish she lived 2 seconds from me rather than 2 million minutes from me! Okay, maybe just Atlanta, but still!

Chelsea, I had SO much fun meeting you and hanging with you this past weekend! Her little sister, who I must say is one of the cutest people in the world, graduated from college in Boston this weekend so I finally got a chance to meet them!

I was so nervous---what would I wear? What do I drink?! You know, important things :) However as soon as I saw Chelsea bouncing towards me with open arms I couldn't help but just let all the nerves go!!!

You know those blogs you read where you wonder/hope that when or if you meet them, they're exactly the way you see them as? Well, if you read Chelsea's blog, she is just that! Exactly what you picture=Amazingly sweet and adorable and just plain awesome!!

We boogied down at a Boston bar, had some dranks, told a guy we were dating, took photo-booth pics, sang/screamed call me maybe, dougied, hugged, screamed that we were finally meeting, and shared stories and memories that I won't ever forget!

Chelsea's sister's cutsie friend, Chelsea, myself, and
lil sissy Brianna!!--are they not identical minus the hair!?

Chelsea get your Southern butt back to Boston please!
Counting down the days until we get to hang out again!!

I'm going on a Blate!

You guysssss.....I have something awesome to tell you!!
Tonight I get to meet this girl for the first time!!

You see, we've already kind of met. Back in the fall, her famous rockstar brother who plays with Dustin Lynch was playing in Massachusetts. I knew I had to go and I am so glad I did I got to meet not only her brother, but her PARENTS!! They were all the absolute sweetest, fabulous people and I felt like I had known them for ages, the fact that they were so friendly and welcoming!

Chelsea's cute little momma!

I just knew the day I would get to meet Chelsea would be just as amazing! We actually planned to meet up on New Years Eve this year but we never got a chance to!! So, this is well over due.

Everytime I meet someone I get to know here on this blog space, I get so nervous leading up to it! I have no idea why, since I consider myself pretty outgoing---but the nerves subside once I realize how amazing it is that we as bloggers and writers get the opportunity to meet other people like us. It's such a fabulous feeling!

In honor of excitement, I am linking up with Whitney for Back That Azz Up Friday with a song that always gets me amped and energized no matter what! Especially on the treadmill. I'll sure as heck be jamming to this while getting ready to go out with Chelsea!!

I cannot wait!!
Happy weekend everyone!

Rihanna vs Weezy: Ones a Bitch, I'm the others Bitch

**Confused by the title? Many moons ago I had Siri call me Lil Waynes Bitch...I know. I hate me too

Did I tell you guys I went to the Rihanna concert last week? It all happened in the blink of an eye.

You see, last Monday my boss sent my group at work an email saying he had 2 Rihanna tickets for that night and they were first come first serve---and FREE! Everyone automatically looked at me, knowing I'd be the one to want to snag those babies up. And I sure as hell did! Did I mention they were in premium club seats? Holy hell....my friend and I felt like ballers!

But Rihanna? I'm sorry...you are such a piece of SHIT!! I'll keep it short and sweet but the concert started at 7:30 and she didn't take her diva ass to the stage until 10:45. She didn't have an opening act so we listened to a DJ play for 3 hours (can't lie, he was good...we shook what our mamas gave us). Don't get me wrong, she was good when she showed up, but what was she possibly doing for 3 hours before---touching herself?!

Needless to say, the people we talked to around us had been to her concerts before and she has always been late---sorry Ri Ri, I'll jam in my car to you from now on.

Speaking of performers who show up late, let me tell you someone who NEVER shows up late...

Weezy. You have my heart.
He is always on time, and always sports a Boston hat---my type of man

My girlfriends and I just purchased tickets to go see him this August and I am over the moon excited! Y'all know me and my Lil Wayne.... But really, if you like rap and if you like Wayne, SEE HIM LIVE IN CONCERT! He is by far the best hip-hop performer I've seen and I've seen him 5 times!

I especially can't wait to jam to this song
It's always a favorite
During one concert a man stood in the aisles during this song
Throwing 20's in the air
NO LIE.
The wind was blowing the other way unfortunately
Damnit!

Happy Tuesday!

Saw, Pinned, Did, DRANK! Alcoholic bottles into cups!

I'm suuuuuuuper excited little miss Katie and Steph are back with Saw it Pinned it Did it because I have something wicked cool to share with you all! Feast your little eyes...

Basically what I did here was cut alcohol bottles to make into
glasses---flipping genius RIGHT?!?! Here is the original pin!

Here's what you need!
1) This bottle cutter---it's only 20 bucks on Amazon!
2) Hot hot hot water
3) Cold cold cold water
4) Vodka bottle, beer bottle, wine bottle, anything!
5) A drink to accompany you (or to finish off a bottle!)

Now let's get fancy!!
1) First, boil a big old pot of water and at the same time, fill a pot or bowl with ice cold water
2) While that's happening, drink some wine and clean out your empty bottles---be sure to dry the bottle!

3) Use the bottle cutter contraption thing to score around the bottle where you'd like it to cut

4) You should see a little line that resembles a scratch--it's sharp,
trust me don't touch it just to cop a feel! hahah!

5) At this point, Kurt took over because he said the glass could possibly shatter as
the top's being sliced off. He made sure to protect himself by wearing a
long sleeve jacket and his shades....Dramatic? Just a little bit....

6) Dip the top part of the bottle into the hot water for a few seconds, and then the cold water,
alternating until you finally hear craaaaaackk! That means the top has come off!

7) The kit comes with two types of sandpaper you need to use to be sure you don't cut your lippies when you drink it. The sandpaper will go in water and it you basically just rub it till it's smooth!

Voila! Fill it up with a drink!
As you see, I used a different bottle...
I ended up using a small vodka bottle, as our bowl of water wasn't deep enough for a bigger one!

These are such cool ideas..for gifts, parties, anything! And to be honest, they are relatively easy to make. I really want to make a bunch of these for my future home that I'll put in my future beautiful home-bar. ;-)

Link up with Steph and Katie!

Real Talk: Are you a good friend?

Do you ever feel like you don’t make enough time for all of the important people in your life such as family, friends, significant others, etc?

I've been having some majah trouble sleeping lately for some reason. The other night I even tried the old counting sheep thing----ya..thanks mom but that still doesn't work! Anyway, I started making mental notes in my head about some upcoming family events, birthdays, etc that are happening in the next few months.

This lead to reading an article I bookmarked on my phone a while back but never got around to read; about making time for the important people in your life.

I’ll be honest, when it comes to the people close to me in my home life and work life, I rarely, if ever, miss a special day in their life. Whether it be a birthday, an anniversary, the day before a big test, I usually remember. I think it all comes down to the fact that I like to make people feel special on days they deserve it; you never know if something so small such as a “good luck,” or “you’re doing amazing” can help someone out the slightest bit.

Over the years, it really has affected me greatly if I ever get in a little tiff with someone and the words “you suck as a friend” come out of their mouth. It leaves me speechless, worried, concerned, and overall sad (You guys...I am such a sensitive sally when it comes to my feelings!!).

I find myself going crazy inside---maybe I missed something? Maybe I didn’t give this person as much care/time as I should? But at the end of the day, I try and convince myself that when people are upset, they say things they don’t mean; I’m a big-time forgiver, but I don’t forget either. In the end, it ultimately makes me a stronger person—people who bring others down are the ones who need the most care, which is exactly what the article I read said. And I'm down for that, I continue to be there for those people.

Anyway, I know this post is kind of blehhh, but I just felt like sharing my feeeeelings!  Ya know, I am a real person sometimes and not always silly :-)

Do you feel like you make enough time for the important people in your life?
How are you a good friend?

Weekends are for Bruins, Thrills, Booze and Boston

Is it really Monday already?! I feel like this weekend flew by. But then again, basically every weekend flies by.

Friday night Kurt and I literally did NOTHING! I honestly don't remember what we did, but I know Game of Thrones was somehow involved...a new favorite :-)

But Saaaaaturday....I woke up in such a mood to go to the gym and that never happens on a Saturday. I kicked my own ass and am still hurting for it today (mainly my abs--holy F). Saturday night however, Kurt and I had tickets to the Bruins playoffs...unfortunately they lost to Toronto!! :( However, it was a good game and one of the Boston Marathon victims even came out onto the ice before the game to wave the flag---I definitely shed a tear or 2!

We got home pretty late Saturday night and remembered we promised our pretty little selves we were getting up early Sunday to go to Six Flags New England. This is the second year we bought season passes and if you go to any Six Flags more than once they are SO worth the 50/60 dolla's for the season, especially since a regular day ticket robs you of about $45.00. Kurt even had to be ridiculous and pay extra for the free parking perk---lucky for him it works for ANY Six Flags, otherwise I would have been YO...put that money towards some bling why don't ya ;-)

Six Flags New England has a few decent rides, though it's nothing compared to Six Flags in New Jersey which we try to get to at least 3 times a year! Just this past year though, I have graduated from holding onto the lap bars on rides to keeping my arms up! Thanks to Kurt, who while at Cedar Point, held my hands up FOR ME one ride so I could experience it haha! We indulged in some BBQ, rides and 70 degree temperatures--HOLLA.

We didn't spend the entire day there since it's still early in the season and wasn't crowded, so we took our non-mexican selves to Boston and had a Cinco De Mayo celebration with the rest of the city anyway!

We were near the site of the Marathon Bombings and the new memorial site and really wanted to see it in person. Holy amazing, emotional, crazy and overall lovingness this city has.

We even signed our names on one of the many posters :-)

Overall, it was such a fabulous, fun and relaxing weekend! I am sitting here watching Kurt do something gigabyte-ey with our TV...turning it into a computer so we can somehow save money on cable yet get MORE options? I dunnoo...all I know is he let me touch a computer processor and went on and on about how amazing it is. Whatever floats your boat buddy.

Link up with Sami! Happy Week!
