The tale of the 29 hour hangover

Once upon a time, I went out Friday night with some girlfriends for a friends birthday celebration. It started off easy, with some yummy mexican food, but lead to a wicked classy establishment called Tequila Rain, and Erica having 4 mixed drinks, 2 birthday cake shots, 1 shot of patron (sorta) and 1 shot of Jager (sorta). Thus, leading to this catastrophe

Whassup you want a piece of this pie?

Friday night was one for the books as far as hangovers go. My hangover began at 2am and didn't leave me until about 7am Sunday morning. Y'all, it was uuugggly! I don't think I've been that bad in a long time!

We struck up a chat with some Canadians visiting Boston at the bar who had a field day with the fact it was one of our birthdays...hence the 10 trillion shots. But let me tell you a small secret....I was taking a breather and drinking some water while we took the last 2 shots. I pulled a "Oh my God look that girls a hot mess," prompting everyone to look, and me to poor my shots into my cup of water. I couldn't handle anymore!! #Pu**y but sneaky.

Saturday was spent dying a slow death while Kurt was at my beckon call. He even gave me a bell to ring when I needed things such as a warm cloth or a back rub or some sweet words of wisdom that I was in fact going to make it. Kidding about the bell part (though I needed it!!)

We relaxed for most of the day which was perfect. I downed a giant gatorade as we walked through Sports Authority because Kurt needed to return some tight little booty shorts  running compression shorts. We also went and signed up for a membership at Costco for 2 reasons. 1) Kurt loves their double chocolate muffins and 2) their food samples are OUT OF THIS DAMN WORLD.

After eating many delicious samples at Costco, I was still feeling icky so we headed back to our compound and began Season 1 of Game of Thrones. 1 word--OBSESSED.

Bed was early for me because I had to get my booty out of bed at 8 and run a 5k Sunday morning which was amazing! The sun was shining, I was with my 2 best girls, and it was for an amazing cause!

(I look like death on a stick here)

We went to the after race party and I somehow convinced myself a mimosa was a good thing to have. I mean, champagne is basically water...right?

We finished off our Sunday Funday with the driving range and some appetizers! I'm so excited to get back out on the links this season now that it's finally warming up. If anyone is interested in coming to Massachusetts to play golf with me I am always looking for players---so get on a plane right now and come play with me!!! I even dance on the course.

All in all, it was a perfect weekend, minus my Saturday of feeling like I got hit by the Harry Potter Knight Bus.

Kurt and I spent most of Sunday night watching Game of Thrones and figuring out where in Massachusetts we can go Live Action Role Playing (LARP-ing). I want a sword God Damnit!

I hope your weekend was fabulous! Link up with Sami for Weekend Shenanigans!

John Stamos can back his azz up on me any day

Let's start this post with a little jam because it's Friday and I'm linking up with little miss Whitney
For Back that Azz Up Friday with a pretty bumpin jam (in my mind at least)
I seriously shake it something fierce with this song...especially in Zumba!

Yesterday I found myself lost in a trance on Instagram. Have you ever followed someone that you just go back and back and back and back and look at so many pics you find yourself looking at pics from "20 weeks ago" or something of that nature?

This was the case with John Stamos...Aka Uncle Jesse
Aka the man who tickles my hoo-ha fancy

I've kind of had a secret crush on him for about 5 years
Sure, he was hot to trot on Full House
But now? Oh My Lanta.

How does one get such perfect genes to get hotter with age?

His yogurt commercial? I'd love to have him seductively feed me yogurt
While giving me a little smirk like he does
Okay so now I'm being all 50 shades of grey-like

His instagram and photos are pretty awesome
And I may awkwardly tweet him from time to time...

Why I just wrote a blog post about John Stamos' incredible sexy self I may never know
I do know, is that you should follow him and the rest of the Full House cast
I swear they never ever age!! Except maybe for MK and Ash.
Or just Marykate...she looks about 20 years older than she actually is...

Riddle me this for real though...HOW...and I mean HOW do you get hotter with age?

Anyway.. :-)

Link up with Whitney!

Have a boom-tastic weekend! :-)

Boredom at the gym---help!

Lately I've been bored at the gym. There, I said it!

I can only run/walk on the treadmill so much or go on the elliptical before I lose it and spray someone in the face with the cleaning spray thing and then run around temper tantruming, flipping machines over.

Here in good old Boston, it's still hasn't hit Spring. Running outside has been sparse! So I've been looking for alternative ways to get the old bod in shape. I mean honestly...does anyone else get completely bored doing the same stuff all the time at the gym!?

A few weeks ago, I stepped out of my comfort zone and was dragged to kickboxing. Let me tell y'all, I was whimpering like a little puppy who had just got a shot up his butt. I was nervous, freaked out, worried I wasn't going to last!

HOLY HELL, ladies. It was absolutely amazing. It was cardio kickboxing, so not only did we punch and kick the bags, but did intervals of cardio. It worked out my entire body and I was sore for DAYS.

To me, when you work out and feel sore for a few days, it was a good workout. I'll be completely honest, some days I leave the gym looking like I could go straight from the gym to dinner---I don't always get all sweaty and nasty; but I wish I did! I feel like I can't push myself more at the gym because I'm just tired of the same old workouts.

As far as cardio, I need some HELP! I am anxious and excited to start running outside, but need to try some different thaaangs! I'd love to try that trampoline workout class; except not one that's run by Alexis and Jim Bellino from the Housewives. How the hayyyyll did they manage that gig?

So spill it...how do you stay energized and motivated?
What are some cardio routines you do that are a bit more exciting than the gym?
Happy Hump Day!---there's always humping for exercising...tee hee!
