The littlest things that make me happy

My boyfriend and I went to bed last night at 11 PM because we were absolutely EXHAUSTED! So we go to lay in bed and somehow get to talking about the Lil Wayne concert we're going to in March. We're talking about his songs and stuff and then had a heated discussion that went sorta like this:

Me: oh my God I am so freakin excited for this
concert you have NO IDEA! What song do you think he's gonna start with?
Kurt: (in a grumbling, tired voice) I don't know, Erica.
Me: Well I think it's gonna be something good
Kurt: Obviously
Me: I think it's going to be A Milli
Kurt: (waking up a bit now) No Way!! That's not a headliner,
it's gotta be something more popular that just came out to get the crowd going
Me: Are you dumb? The crowd is already
gonna be riled up because of Lil Wayne
Kurt: Yeah...but it won't be A Milli
Me: It will
Kurt: Oh I'm sorry...I didn't know you
created his set list

So this goes on a little bit, and we decide to make a bet of which song he's going to open with, which then leads us to going on Youtube to find a video of his last concert we went to at Jones Beach to see what he opened with.  Unfortunately due to the dumb girl filming and screaming like a banchee (ok, I'll probably be screaming too), we couldn't see or hear the song. After we had this "discussion," I just smiled to myself.

Little stuff like this makes me happy...talking/bickering to my boyfriend about what song Weezy will open with. It inspired me for a blog post.

I'm constantly inspired by this one blog called Enjoying the Small Things, by Kelle Hampton.
She writes about the little things in everyday life that even though sometimes go unnoticed, or unrecognized, they're still awesome. For me...

Getting one of those snack size Starbursts and finding the
best colors inside...red and pink.

Flipping through channels finding a good, old movie that just started.

A hot shower when it's freezing out.

Finding a shirt in your dresser that you forgot you had

"Just Because" flowers (though they obviosuly didn't
go unnoticed, I just love em'!)

Watching a manly man hold and take care of
his baby (so flippin cute)

What little things make you happy or feel good?

I hope you all enjoy your hump-day! 2 more days until the weekend and only 5 more until Valentine's Day!

iPhones and smelling like your boyfriend

Hi all!

Yesterday was a good day.

It came! It came! It came! My shipment confirmation email said.

iPhone 4 Verizon. It begins.

I'm in love! I opened it and slipped it into my perfectly un-manicured hands and fell in love. Expect lots of silly pictures of me doing nothing aka trying out that cool feature where the camera is on the FRONT of the phone! Oh Apple ... what will you come out with next?!

Which Applications are a must-have!? The first thing I downloaded was the Angry Birds VALENTINE'S EDITION!

side note: why on earth does Valentine's Day fall on a Monday this year! Come on Cupid..get with it!

I've yet to really grasp all the features of the phone, but I do have an iTouch, so it has to be similar right? Any fun tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated by you iPhone users!

I saw this commercial on Yahoo! today. Khloe Kardashian and her husband Lamar Odom, who I admit are a cute lil couple, came out with a fragrance!

No. It's not Khloe's fragrance. It's THEIR fragrance.

As in a man and woman's fragrance. Combined.

A musky man smell mixed with a pretty woman smell

WHAT THE HELL!!?!

I'm sorry, but I love the way my boyfriend smells with his Abercrombie Fierce cologne or his Polo Blue and Polo Black cologne. But I do not love it enough to wear it! Okay, so maybe I end up wearing it after I leap into his arms and give him a ferocious hug because he smells so delightful, but hell, I don't want to smell like that all day.

I'm dying to go into Macy's or Nordstrom's and smell the fragrance. I keep calling it a fragrance because I don't know if it's perfume or cologne! What do you think?

Enjoy your Tuesday!

iPhone photo! It's blurry because I have yet to alter any settings..this was just a setting that had a blurred effect and I did it quick. This is from the front of my camera! I decided, Hell, let me throw mah shades on and be cool.

Sometimes being skinny sucks!

Okay, I know what you’re all thinking, but hear me out!

Let’s take last night as a prime example!

SUPERBOWL!  Go Packers! (my poor babies, The Patriots, decided to blow their chance this year at the superbowl so I had to choose one team!)

My friend had a wicked fun party last night for the game!! I started snacking/eating around 4:00 p.m. and didn’t really stop until about 10:00 p.m. I ate pizza, guacamole, chips, M&Ms, chili, cupcakes, jello shots, and so many more snacks I don’t even know. So my boyfriend offered me a bite of his cupcake later in the night and I simply said “ugh I’m so full!” So then someone goes, “Erica, it’s a bite … it’s only like 20 calories it’s not gonna kill you..HAHAHA.” and then everyone laughed with her!

Things like this make me SO MAD! I’m 5’6 and about 115 pounds. I am not just skin and bones like most think. I have muscles. I did gymnastics, volleyball, golf, soccer, basketball, etc and I work out regularly. What the hell is wrong with the fact that I’m 115 pounds and healthy? People look at me and think that if I’m full, I’m worried about calories or fat or something. No people … I’M ACTUALLY FULL!

I’ve been struggling with this my entire life! Okay, I guess I can’t really call it a struggle. I know that I’m healthy. I know that I work out. I know that I don’t go throw up after every meal. It just makes me mad that the issues with women and their bodies are never going to die down. If we weigh too much, people make fun of us to our face or behind our back about eating. If we are skinny, people think we’re anorexic and get mad if we say we are full. I hate to break it to you, BUT… everyone in the world has fat days. I have fat days where I feel soo bloated and gross and blahhh!

When are we going to stop judging what we and other girls look like!? I don’t judge people. I had my “freshman 15” period for a few months. I’ve felt like I had a gigantic muffin top because my pants were tight. I’ve felt like crap after eating an entire pizza. I’ve also felt like people stare at me while I run on the treadmill in little workout shorts. I’ve had grocery checkout people roll their eyes at me when they look at me ringing up lettuce, apples, cereal, granola bars, etc. Oh God forbid this little skinny girl buys Doritos or donuts. Sorry, LADY, for all you know, I'm going to shove my face with Taco Bell on my way home from the store. Suck it!

It plain old sucks and I'm offended. And I’m sorry if this sounds like a rant and/or me sounding like a lil bitch! But I am trying to get across to some people; it’s okay to be super skinny..it’s okay to be overweight. If you’re happy with your life and the way you live, then that’s amazing for you. Don’t bring other people down if you don’t like the way they look! It’s your life and you are in charge of it and you can change or alter your lifestyle.

This was just something that was bothering me lately! And I want to know if any of you guys ever feel this way or tell me if I sound like a brat! Hahah I am so happy with my life and how I live it. I don’t have time to be brought down by people based on the way they perceive me. Well I say to them…Get to know me, bitches..don’t automatically assume something!!

I love all you bloggies. You’ve all inspired me to come out and say something that truly, utterly bothers me. I’ve read some of your blogs where you’ve been going through things; breakups, hardships, everything. I know this isn’t a huge issue to most of you, but it is something that’s always bothered me and frankly, it just makes me feel like absolute CRAP to the point where I've cried over how cruel some people are! Gahh!!

Tell me I'm not a looney!
xoxox Enjoy your Monday!
