Weekend weekend weekend, can't you see?

Sometimes your days just hypnotize me...and I just love your weekend ways, this is why....(I can't figure out a lyric to finish this off ha!)

Well this weekend was pretty jam packed if I do say so myself! Isn't it the truth that the more you say "I want to relax this weekend," the more stuff you actually do instead of relaxing? Yes, that was my weekend! Let me start with this...which was actually Wednesday night but I felt the need to post it so that on the morning I wake up 504729 pounds, this is an assisting factor. Just Kidding...I love nachos and could never part with them!!

We had actually ordered them sans chili, but when she brought it over and we saw the chili, no one was mad!

Okay so let me get to the actual weekend. Friday night Kurt and I stayed in and had a few drinks. A few months ago, Kurt had the genius idea to buy Everclear. Why? I do not know but it gets him pretty loopy. We did however, carve pumpkins...Mickey and Minnie pumpkins to be precise!

Mickey Mouse was pretty difficult..especially his random chin and lower lip? However I think he came out pretty cute right? Minnie I wanted to tackle differently, we stuck two small pumpkins into her body with two wood sticks and just used the face stencil. Her nose is a little big though ha!

Saturday I cannot for the life of me remember what we did during the day besides go to the mall so I could pick up a few things for our upcoming Disney trip! That night, we went to the Bruins game, and unfortunately they lost!!

I promise this isn't an entire post about Disney BUT...as we were strolling through the TD Garden, I feasted my eyes on Bruins Mickey with a little towel! I needed him!

Sunday was deffo the most relaxing day of the weekend except for the part where I said I wanted to make my grandmothers famous spaghetti sauce, and that's when Kurt decided he was a huge know-it-all and wanted to try some "cooling" contraption after we cooked it. Needless to say we started it at 130 in the afternoon, it took 3 hours to cook, and at 10pm, it finally went into the freezer. Sorry Kurt, I'm sure when my grandmother was alive and making sauce at 90 years old, she wasn't turning it into a 9 hour process.

Oh and then there's this....MUAHAHAH. Happy Monday!

My Video Game Brain

Can I tell you all a story? The other morning, I wanted to pass a car on the right by driving on the sidewalk to get around it.

ON. THE. SIDEWALK.

Did I mention I was also in a school zone? Obviously I did not, but because that thought even crossed my mind, I had to be like whoaaa Erica. This is not Grand Theft Auto V and you are not trying to escape from a 4 star wanted level.

The reasoning behind this post is because I want to document the fact that this game caused me to think violent thoughts that I will want to say to my kids one day: don’t ever think about driving over sidewalks and knocking over a lady with a stroller! But you guys...I'm obsessed with this game.

Almost every day without fail, Kurt and I race to the TV to play the new Grand Theft Auto 5. The day we bought it, I’m pretty sure I played 3 straight hours and didn’t even hear Kurt ask me if he could play. #PoorGuy. However he is farther ahead of me in the game on his user name, so he must be sneaking out of bed in the middle of the night to play….or skipping work. Remember that sick day you had last week, Kurt? You totally played all day I know it.

I’ve been a huge player of the GTA series for a whiiiile. I read all about the games, the critical receptions, the ways they’re planning for future games and even the articles about why people think it’s such a horrible game blah blah blah. Let’s relax a bit crazy peeps, you all played Super Mario at one point I bet. Are we supposed to think that Venus Fly Trap plants and turtles are bad because they eat people?

Needless to say, I was as happy as a clam when I got home one day and found out Kurt bought it. I have so much fun playing that game…it’s like I turn from normal, nice Erica to ravenous beast Erica whose willing to punch a person because I want their money or crash into a motorcycle because I want their motorcycle.

This time in the game, you can play as three separate characters who work together on the missions. I am mildly obsessed with one of the characters; Franklin. He is HOT! He also dresses really nice, drives a sick car and is my best driver. All thanks to me, because I shop for him and pimped his car out to the max. I mean, look at what I've done for him! Started from the bottom now he's here.

And that, my friends, is an entire post on GTA all because I had a rogue, wild thought about getting around an innocent driver who was probably just being a law abiding citizen!

Happy Thursday Friends!

I'm somewhat of a Halloween scrooge---for now...

I have a confession to make. Every year on Halloween night since Kurt and I have lived in our apartment together, we go out for dinner, shut the lights off and are complete scrooges.

I know, I know, but for some reason, our little neighborhood where we live now doesn't get many kids! Actually that's not entirely true. Our apartment is on a dead-end street off of another dead end street. We get  SOME kids, but they come at like, 3:00 in the afternoon! What happened to starting at night!?

What I will say is this...I cannot WAIT to own a house one day so I can deck it out for Halloween and give out candy and dress up. I don't know why we aren't into it right now. Maybe it's because it doesn't feel right? I can't explain, but when we own a house, you bet your bottom dollar we will be going HAM.

Speaking of going HAM, I've always envisioned my future family and I doing the themed costume idea. I can't wait for my first child's first Halloween where Kurt and I can be Mickey and Minnie and our baby can be Pluto. I tell people this and they give me the "are you effing serious right now?" How can you deny this?

Would that not be the cutest thing you've ever seen? Daddy Mickey, momma Minnie and baby Pluto? Am I right or am I right? Anywho......

I found this a while back on Pinterest and had to bookmark it. Kurt and I are insane Cirque Du Soleil fans. We have seen a bunch of different shows, and it just overall amazes us. How cool and different would this be? A little creepy but, it is Halloween!

I honestly laugh so hard looking through pictures of family themed Halloween costume ideas because I cannot picture Kurt doing any of them without him either putting up some sort of fight or being like, "really Erica.." I think once we do (if ever) get married and have kids his mind will change :-)

Just now.....
ME: Kurt would you ever do a family themed Halloween costume?
KURT: With whose family?

Yeah...
Can you imagine us as this family? I am literally dying. Kurt needs to muscle up a bit for this

Maybe Kurt should stick to the Blind Ref like last year with DDHP.... :-)

Would you do a themed costume?!
