If I could date a rapper....

So it's nothing new I love rap music. I hear a rap song and it's immediately time to get jiggy no matter what (except at work I try to just pop and lock my shoulders silently at my desk).

I was going through my playlists and really started thinking. If I was ever hot/cool/chill/ill/awesome enough to date a rapper, who the heck would I date? Let's be serious...I wouldn't date Lil Wayne; I'd husband him up so I'm leaving him out of this list...he's a given.

It's funny...my taste in rappers differs completely than who I'm dating. People look at Kurt and think tall, preppy, skinny, reserved. And then they see who I'm into as far as music crushes and well, you know.

A$AP Rocky
We might discuss
Is that grill 14K gold?
Why are you so young and hot?
Does anyone ever say you have nice lips?

Future

Did you know Lil Wayne also has dreads?
Can I pull on them?
Can I cut one off?
50 Cent
We might discuss
How does your face constantly look sexy?
Do you regret losing 70 pounds and looking terrible for 5 minutes?
Can I see your 9 bullet wounds
Can you take me to your candy shop?

And because it's Back That Azz Up Friday
I really just need to share this song I've been playing over...and over...and over.
OBSESSED. New T-Pain featuring B.O.B. IT IS A JAM!!

A DisneyWorld Half Marathon...freakout starts now

You guys! I have some exciting news. Actually, you may not think it's as exciting as I do, but it's something I've been thinking about for the last few years and I'm finally doing it.

I'm running my first half marathon in November...AND it's in Disney World!

Specifically it's called the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon!

It should come as no surprise that Kurt and I are Disney freaks. If it was normal, we would build our future house to look like the Cinderella castle (ok maybe not that extreme). We do love it though, and try to go at least once a year! This time, it's going to be an extra special memory :-)

Back during my junior year of college, Kurt and I were in Disney World in January during the Disney Marathon weekend. It crossed my mind "wow, running through the Disney parks would be so much fun," but I was no runner. Up until about a year ago, I couldn't even run 5 minutes without feeling like I was going to pass out.

Last year I found myself talking to one of my co-workers who lives in Scotland. He is a triathlon competitor, runner, biker and an all around athlete! I expressed my wish for being able to run and he developed a running/workout plan for me that I followed and soon enough I was running 45 minutes without stopping; it was AMAZING. I felt accomplished and confident in myself for once when it came to running.

I started researching the Disney races. Honestly, how can you not want to run through the Disney parks? My research of the Wine and Dine Half Marathon happened to intertwine with Kurt and I planning our next trip---November 2013. I brought it up to him and he was all for it; all for ME running it, while he cheered me along. I was okay with that, but I really wanted to do this together with him. After a few weeks of pouting and pleading and saying "BUT WE CAN DRESS UP!!" he finally agreed.

So here we are! Around two months until we both run our first half marathon. I am nervous, worried, freaking out, but more than anything, over the moon excited!

The Wine and Dine half marathon takes place during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. Oh did I mention this race doesn't start until 10:00pm at night!? After we run, it ends with a party in Epcot that goes until 4:00AM! It will be interesting---considering I have never run at night before. However, we run through Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot with tons of entertainment and Disney characters along the way to keep you going!

I AM JUST SO EXCITED!!!!
Have any of you ever run a Disney race before?!

Weddings make me cry!

Whoa little blog....I've been cheating on you with life lately and haven't had an ounce of time to come play with you! Fear not, I am back.

I am flipping exhausted, people. I've been running myself ragged since Thursday! Thursday night my friend and I drove down to Queens, NY for a wedding weekend! One of my best friends' friends from college got married and let me say, it was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen.

A few photos to tickle your fancy!

Isn't she a gorgeous bride?!? This wedding set the bar hiiiiigh! I mean, the bride and groom made their entrance into the reception by rising from the dance floor. What the what!? It was a constant dance party and let's just say, thank God she bought out the entire black and white flip flop center from Old Navy for the guests! I also realized weddings make me cry. I cried during the father daughter dance, the groom and mother dance, the toasts, the church, the send-off, etc.

Being in a 7 year relationship also doesnt make it any easier, which was evident by the tipsy texts I sent Kurt throughout the night sort of like "when are we getting married?" "When's it our turn?" Yikes Erica, step awayyyy from the cellphone.

After the ceremony, the group proceeded to the hotel bar until 3am to get our drink on. It was such a fun time and made me really wish I could go to more than 1 wedding a century! I feel like some people get so cranky that they have to go to many weddings a year, but I honestly don't think I could get sick of it! We are celebrating a new chapter in someones life!

But really Kurt, when's our turn?
How was your weekend?!
