Really Big Mouth

Well, we finally made it to Friday. I don't know how I did, because all day yesterday I was a walking zombie from staying up so late watching the Bruins game until flipping 1:30 in the morning!! At work yesterday I must have yawned about 500 times an hour, so much that someone actually noted I have a really big mouth.

Thanks!?!

Really though, we then proceeded to have a discussion about mouths which led to me telling them how I can fit a giant spoon in my mouth in one inhale. About a year ago I remember being at my house and my sister's boyfriend and I were comparing tongue sizes (sounds raunchy I know....) Anyway, the topic of big mouths came up again, and I was asked to try to fit a huge spoon in my mouth and voila--I could! If this isn't the creepiest, ugliest picture ever I don't know what is..
Just call me, Mrs. Aerosmith--minus the huge teeth!

And for Back That Azz Up Friday with Miss Whitty,
I thought I'd go with the theme of this super random post!

This was such a jam during college and it STILL is!
Hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend! :-)

Sometimes alone time is much needed!!

Hi friends! Long time no chat, right?

I wish I could tell you all this awesome stuff that's happened but alas, my weekend wasn't too exciting. Actually, it kind of was to me haha! This may sound selfish and bratty, but this past weekend (starting on Thursday), I had our ENTIRE apartment to myself from Thursday-Sunday. Kurt had some extra vacation days to use so he went home to visit his fam in New Jersey. Before he left though, we put together his brother's 21st birthday gift. Solid gift, right? 21 nippies (the bottle kind).

Having alone time was seriously needed. Of course I missed my Kurty bear, but do you ever feel like you just need some time to yourself once in a while!? I used it as a weekend to literally sit around like the most disgusting sloth you can ever imagine. I cooked things I normally wouldn't because Kurt has the appetite of a 3 year old sometimes, I painted my nails, I went shopping for useless shit, cried like a blubbering baby beluga over Lifetime movies, you know.

However, I am proud to admit I worked out this weekend despite my lazy time. On Saturday I went to my first Pure Barre class on Newbury Street in Boston! Holy moly, I found muscles I never knew existed! I was blown away by how effective it was and how awesome I felt afterwards. This was Saturday; it's now Tuesday and my ass still feels like it went around the block a time or two.

All in all, I absolutely loved it. I read many reviews and blog posts on it beforehand and went in there thinking it was going to be a bunch of Lululemon clad beautiful girls who could twist their bodies into ways that would make 50 cent whip out his magic stick. While it was all of that, I felt completely comfortable and the instructor made sure I was feeling the moves in all the right areas! I especially loved working out to the upbeat music---definitely made me push myself harder. Next time, I need to invest in grippy socks.

After class, I walked around Boston for a little while enjoying the goooorgeous day! It happened to be Boston Pride day and there was a parade. A man dressed in a sequin skirt and bathing suit top meowed at me which pretty much made my day. It's always great seeing your own city supporting Pride :-)

By the time Sunday rolled around, I was excited to see Kurt! I surprised him by making one of his favorites...pulled pork in the slow cooker--MM MM MM! :-) To say it was delish is an understatement!

Do you ever need or enjoy alone time?
Hope your Tuesday is fantastic my friends!

This will make beauty bloggers want to hurt me

I have two things for you all today. Something awkward and something awesome.

Let's start with the awkward.

The past few months I've been looking for THE perfect moisturizer. I used to use Nars Luminous Moisture Cream which I absolutely love. But I really can't fathom spending the 60-ish dollars for it each time so I really wanted something cheaper. After scouring many beauty sites and magazines, I turned up with positive raves of L'Oreal Daily Moisturizer. I drove my ass to Ulta and bought it about a month or so ago and am in love with it. It makes my skin feel soft, smooth, silky--the whole shebang...it even has SPF 15 sunscreen in it; added bonus.

Well, the other night, I happened to see that you could peel the back label off for more info and directions. I didn't need it for directions obviously, but I have a habit for peeling off labels just to peel them off. I start reading it, and it turns out it's actually LEGIT SUNSCREEN. Not a moisturizer, but sunscreen WITH moisturizer. So for the past month or so, I've been applying sunscreen to my face each and every day, raving about how amazing it makes my skin feel. Fail with a capital Effing F.

But my question is...do I keep using it? I mean, I've already used half of it!
I guess it's karma for being cheap and cheating on Nars.

Now the awesome.
I'm sure you all know Sophia Grace and Rosie
They have a song with a music video and holy shit it's absolutely amazing!
I really truly enjoyed this for some reason, maybe because they're so damn cute

What did you think? Is it not catchy?!
Considering adding it to my playlist...
I think the fast rap is my favorite

Happy Tuesday!
