This happened, and this is happening

First of all, this happened..

Been dying to share this with you all! Only two dolla from Amazon! Such a SWEET iPhone case!

And also...for the past 2 months or so, some blog-a-licious girlfrands and I have been talking about a potential meet-up to Oh Hi Oh (aka Ohio) And since it's driving distance for me, just makes it THAT MUCH MORE FABULOUS!

This pretty little lady even made a graphic! Stephy, you rock. I just can't wait to meet these girls!! (and boys...ahem Billy and Beau-Man!)

EEEK! Literally jumping up and down because it's happening! After months of planning and talkings...I could seriously do a flippin backflip!! So Katie, Jess and Steph...BAWSTIN will be there wicked soon :-)

Which by the way, I have to say for the millionth time just how much I love blogging. My trip to Texas to meet two blog besties turned real life besties is handsdown one of the best trips I've ever taken. Seriously, who would have thought the day I created this account, I'd be flying or driving around the country to meet such awesome, inspirational people! Makes my heart HAPPY! There are just so many bloggers I can't wait to wrap my arms around one day!

Happy Long Weekend my loves!

Facebook Funnies

I feel like I've written about Facebook a lot on this here blog. Liiiike here!

This could be because Facebook fascinates me beyond belief. The fact that someone created this media outlet that allows people to become grade A stalkers so they can find people they met on the train (I did that, what?), makes me wish I had come up with such a sweet idea.

Anywho, the other day I heard a little "boo-loop!" Boo-loop is the way I describe the sound Facebook makes when you get a Facebook chat message. Y'all know what I'm talkin' about. Anyway, I hear boo-loop and take a looksie. It was this kid 2 years younger than me who I played in the high school band with.

It started normal:
Him- Hey, how ya been?
Me- Not bad!
Him- It's been a while
Me- I know..what, like 5 years or so? How are you!
Him- I can't stop looking at that picture of you in the pink and black bikini

He then proceeded to send me the link of the tagged pic. As if I was a friggen idiot.

That's when I sort of sat there like ummm. This pic was added this past summer. He was creepin'! So me, who doesn't really know how to tell a creeper to S my D, says this:

Me- Awww
Him- Damn I wish I would have hit that

Rather than go off on him, I started to laugh outloud. Seriously. I sat on my couch and laughed. Then I typed HAHAHA and he signed off. What? Did he expect me to tell him I want to tickle his balls?

So in conclusion, as cool, interesting and innovative Facebook is, it has its creepers. And they could be your FACEBOOK FRIEND! Who played in the band with you. Which makes it extra nerdy.

Happy Hump Day!

The time we fought over painting our living room

This weekend Kurt and I had our first pre-marital fight. Okay relax...no engagement or anything yet people! But we had a "life fight." Over paint. Yes....PAINT. Don't worry...nothing TOO serious!

So a couple weeks ago, I went and got a couple paint swatches because I was itching to paint our apartment's living room a pretty tan color. This past Friday we were sitting in our living room and I was just like "let's paint the walls tomorrow." So Saturday morning we got up and chose a color out of one of the paint swatches. It was called Natural.

We go and open the can, and I said out loud that wow this looks only slightly darker than what's already on the wall. Then Kurt dumped the entire can of paint on my head and then dumped me.

Kiiiddding!

"Erica. It will be darker when it dries."

So there we go. We paint two walls, and let them dry. Still looked just like the hideous white/grey that was already there.

Left was the new paint, right was the old.

SEE? Slightly similar. I felt defeated. We had just spent 2 hours painting 2 walls and I was not happy. And Kurt knew this because I kept walking in and out of the room, hoping the paint color would change. Finally, I told him I hated the paint color and wanted a tan color. He stormed off and I stormed off and then he told me to go find a new color. Then he locked himself in the bathroom. What a child!

So I went to Home Depot and came back with a new prettier tan color. And we re-painted for the next hour in silence. I was getting splattered with paint because I was rolling that roller so hard with frustration!

Alas, we finished. Don't worry. I'll show y'all soon! Kurt finally admitted he liked the tan better than what we had. CHA-CHING. I just hope this isn't foreshadowing for if we ever buy a house together. Oy.

We swore to next time just call my dad, whose an interior decorator, to do the hard stuff! I trust his work! Wouldn't you?!

Yep...Dad, our next room will be alllll you! :-)
