Guest Post: Flying No-No's! Ashley from Run With Me

When we booked our flight to Florida, I knew that I needed Ashley to guest post for me. She is one of my absolute FAVS! We have had this long-running email thread that dates back to May where we talk about neat stuff like our sweet lives, dancing, and meeting hot men in Target. #BeJealous! Seriously though, she is one of the sweetest, funniest girls I have met and I cannot wait to meet her one day so that we can frolic all over HotLanta (aka Atlanta where she lives) Meet Ashley from Run With Me!

*******

While Erica is off enjoying the sun and churros at the most magical place on earth….(which some like to refer to as Disneyland) she asked me to fill in.
 Naturally, I was honored.

As Erica has shared before, she is NOT a fan of flying…..and since I LOVE to fly, I figured I’d pass on some of my travel tips and etiquette guidelines. E - even though you don't like traveling, I just know know you're the most pristine traveler...feel free to pass these on to your fellow fliers.

Earbuds, Earbuds, Earbuds – Whether you’re plugged into an ipod or a movie, earbuds are a life-saver against the whirl of the engine, that intangible “white noise” or, if your luck is anything like mine, no less than 5 screaming children.

It's not a tea party- For some people, a flight is the perfect opportunity to engage that person trapped in seat C14 next to them with their lifelong story. If you sense a chatterbox, I recommend pulling out those earbuds and engaging fully in your movie choice.

Think Twice Before Reclining: Who even designed the recline feature? “Hey guys…I have an idea…you know how people have about 5 inches to cram their legs and carry ons into? Let’s make the chairs recline so that on top of being crammed into their seat, somebody’s gross greasy head can also be in their lap too.” Now if that doesn’t say an “enjoyable flight, I don’t know what does!”

You are not the In-Flight DJ - Not everyone enjoys Akon and Weezy (crazy I know!) And, I have to confess even I am probably guilty of this one since I am half-way to deaf. Except I play good music....like Taylor Swift.

They let you off the plane, I promise - There's nothing worse than having someone up on you like you're in the club while you watch helpless and pray the 10 people in front of you unload their carry ons just a little faster ....I swear, the plane will not take off again before you have a chance to get off!

Do not hide your cell phone activity from the flight attendants - Does it make sense that you are allowed to have your cell phone on the plane if it could potentially crash the plane? Of course not. But God knows your phone was still on during take off....and He is not happy about it.

….and lastly, should all these helpful tips fail, pack Benadryl. That’s right, I’m completely unopposed to drugging yourself into a non-stressful state of mind.
 Happy Travels E!
 XO, A
Hahah that last photo just makes my life. Thanks so much Ashley! I wish you were flying with me so every 5 seconds you could reassure me that we WILL in fact make it to the next airport.  And yes people, listen to Ashley because I have been a victim of some of these things! Like when an 8 year old felt THE NEED to recline her seat in front of me so she could set up her Barbie dolls all spread out. Sheesh!

Go check our Ashley's blog HERE! You will be glad you did. Lots of juicy fashion stuff, life stuff, hilarious stuff, and inspiring stuff!

Guest Post! Mackey Madness Gets Crunk

Y'all, I am so happy to have this chick-a-dee on the blog today. Notice how I said y'all? It's a word I only frequent when I am pretending to be gangster, but thought it was fitting for Megan because she is the cutest southerner ever (who I'm sure uses the word y'all for real, and not for gangster reasons.) After reading over this post, I am sure that the first time we meet, we are going to get along even more AMAZINGLY than we do now.

**********

Hello there all you YOUNG and FABULOUS people! My name is Megan and I blog over at Mackey Madness

I figured I'd use this picture since we all know how much Ericaaah loves when girls make stupid faces. (Did y'all notice my Boston accent? Ericaaah. Get it?! Okay, I'm done.)

Erica and I are basically long lost best friends who have never met. Sometimes people say we look like twins.

::crickets::

Okay, so no one has ever said that we look alike, especially since she has the body of a celebrity, but still, we really do have a lot in common. We both love our men, baseball, and dancing.

Crazy E is always posting videos of herself, usually dancing, so I'd thought that I'd join in on the fun. I am feeling a little bit brave since this isn't actually my blog...and I'm totally willing to make a fool out of myself.

To set the scene: this video is from a few years ago in college when my friend and I were having a "dance off." Our only rule was to start dancing when the music started and freeze when it stopped. Do enjoy.

1) It is totally necessary to have one pants leg rolled up.

2) Notice I got pretty crunk when "Grillz" came on. Holla.

3) I really can dance better than this video exhibits. #pleasebelieveme

Now come over and visit...I know y'all want to see more of my moves.

Thanks for having me Erica! : ) Maybe we can have a dance off one day?!

Megan, I think only you could get away with dancing all crunk with pink fuzzy slippers! I cordially accept your invitation to a dance-off! Yes! Okay don't you love her? So go and check out her blog! Thanks Megan, you are the best!!

Leaving on a jet plane!

I have been looking forward to this week for 109 days, aka the amount of days that my desktop countdown started off at! I'm off to Florida for the week! We're hittin' up Universal, Busch Gardens, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, and a gulf coast beach!

Kurt and I are flying down tomorrow and meeting up with his family who will be making the 17 hour drive from their house in Jersey. I begged and pleaded for Kurt to let us drive down with them because of my insane fear of flying. He said a 3 hour flight versus a 17 hour drive was just too easy to decide. Phooey!

Anywho, I have a FABULOUS group of sexy hot ladies that will be taking my place while I am gone! And I promise it is awesome! But don't you worry, I'll still be creeping all your blogs because after a long hot day screaming my head off on roller coasters and drinking Butter Beer from Harry Potter World, I'll need to creep your lives!

OH and I will be about 20 hours closer to some of my fav blogger friends! And though I won't get to see any of them (tears!!), at least I can share the 10000 degree temperatures with them that are going on down South!

Pray I have a safe flight! And I don't have a 5 year old screaming and kicking with joy behind me because she can't wait to tackle Mickey Mouse as if he were a rabid animal.

Enjoy the guest posts!
