My cubicle needs to be pimped

Hello all!

Okay first, I really need some feedback! All weekend I was checking my blog among other blogs, and was torn whether people update during the weekends or not. I realize blogging is for yourself..to better your writing, to spill your emotions, to vent, to rant, to brag…whatever..but I mean, we all secretly want people to read our stuff right!? Let me know your thoughts!

In other words, I’ll keep this post short and sweet since I’m pretty busy today! My company just switched office buildings completely, so we have new EVERYTHING. And oh my god..we are 5 minutes from a mall, we have a gorgeous cafe, fitness center, and because it’s new, it’s fun to wander around and get lost! I love it! But girls, I’m having an issue. My CUBE! Here she is..in her quaint, tidiness, brand spankin new...

 

Right now, the only cute factor in my cube are my adorable peace sign book ends from Borders, a snazzy paper clip holder, and a tropical setting calendar. Here is my wacky paper clip head holder! Isn't she cute with her paper clip earrings haha

 

I need ideas..how can I cuten up my cube? I’ll take any ideas!  I want it to look cute, but professional. So I wont be hanging any crystal chandeliers, or getting a bunny rabbit or anything crazy like that.So let me know what you girls and guys think!

So Happy Monday..and just think…Christmas is soon! It’s flurrying here!

2010 Top Things EVER! Plus a fruity cocktail for your liking!

If anyone else is a Yahoo! freak like me, you probably saw this online yesterday/today. 2010 in review...top searches, biggest celeb cheating scandal, and more! Ugh I love Yahoo! All my friends/boyfriend/family all use Google but I cant part myself with Yahoo! Sure, the constant "5 worst foods EVER" and "Worst dating mistakes EVER" or "what your friends really think about you" articles that Yahoo! puts up just draws me in and makes me want to curl into a ball and sob my eyes out. But..I just can't help myself. Anywho, they come out with this top 2010 year in review...everything. It was great! The top searched celebrity of 2010...

 I know I know...everyone thinks Miley sucks..but I kinda like her! I don't know why. I find myself watching Hannah Montana re-runs from time to time as my boyfriend moans and groans. Some top 2010 obsessions...

Yes, I have silly bands! haha I have dog breed silly bands and I wear a Corgi one..and I passed around some others. Sure, I may sound 5 years old, but what made these things such a rave?? When I was growing up in middle school, we had these little blue plastic bracelets that you make out of the inside of a soda bottle cap..does anyone remember those? And apparantly if someone ripped them off of you, you had to have sex with them or something..Yeah, this might just be my town and I'm hoping it's not because now I sound like a freak!

And Jersey takeover..Jersey Shore, Jerseylicious, jersey couture, jersey housewives..list goes on and on. I'm ashamed to admit, I watch all these shows. My boyfriend, who like I said is from Jersey, hates it! Whenever we go down to his house, this is our conversation..

Me- Can we please googlemap jersey housewive's houses and go look for them?

Him- Are you serious?

Me- Come on..I will recognize their house when I see it!

Him- Are you serious? Their houses are probably covered by trees

Me- (pouting) ugh fine..let's go look for all the restaurants/shops that they go to

Him- (walks away)

Haha! That's no joke. I know it's a problem..but I just LOVE reality TV! And sure, I have a creepy stalker side to me.

The Jolly Rancher

1 oz. Three Olives Green Apple Vodka
1 oz. peach schnapps
4 oz. cranberry juice

Mix together and even add in some Jolly Rancher candy to make it pretty and voila!

Well on that note, I'll leave you with something much cuter than top obsessions, jersey shore, and a cocktail..

 Look at that smile! haha! That's my boyfriends dog..I'm heading down to New Jersey this weekend with him to see his family, get his car fixed, etc. So I thought this photo was fitting. He's a German Shephard and doesn't look as scary because his ears are back because he's happy! Such a good dog!

Hump Day Awesomness

Okay people..we made it halfway through the week. 2 more days! (1 for me..my company is moving office buildings so we get Friday off hell yeah!)

Few things on this Wicked Wednesday. Did everyone catch the sexiest night on television?! (Aka the Victoria Secret Fashion Show!) Adriana Lima sure strutted her stuff as usual, setting of the mood for the night. She is my absolute favorite Angel! So beautiful, so exotic looking, and she looks like such a FUN person! Oh, and she totally rocked that $2 million bra at the end..I'd be SO SCARED to wear that thing.

All the girls are SO pretty...such loong legs too..very jealous. Also, Katy Perry and Akon did a great job but poor Akon's shoes are now covered in glitter..probably cost him 5 grand for those shoes too! haha

Speaking of beautiful, has anyone seen the new photos submitted for National Geographic 2010 photo contest? oh my god breathtaking! Here's one of my favorites.

That's a thunderstorm in Montana. Okay really..this photo puts my nice 300$ digital camera TO SHAME! I could never capture this picture A) I'm scared of thunderstorms and B)My photo taking skills and my camera would make it so blurry. I've decided I'm obsessed with blogging. I love reading blogs about everything. I find myself going back to blogs I read all the time to check for updates, or news..which may seem stalker-ish, but I cant help myself! I seriously love what all you people write about. I went to college for journalism..I'm a natural creeper..love to find things out, listen to people talk, interview, and I just have such a love for knowing things about people..which I think is one of the reasons I got into blogging. I fell in love with writing during elementary school, and even wrote a little kids book about 2 friends..and even drew pictures! haha I just see myself one day having my own column in a paper or magazine. But hey..there's always room to start somewhere..

 

Hah! That's me in front of one of the Boston news stations mock weather background. They were at a ski/snowboard expo in Boston and had a little booth there. I'm trying to look serious in discussing the weather. I interned there 2 summers ago..I could see myself in broadcast journalism, however I really love writing! I think I'll stick to writing instead of reporting on the scary thunderstorm that's about to hit us!
