Something awesome to start your Monday

Happy Monday y'all! I am flipping TIRED. I went to New York City for the weekend with my sister to surprise my mom for her birthday (who was already there with my dad, and had no idea we were coming!!) Needless to say, it was AMAZING! I'll be sharing this week!

But in other words...I came across this recently and it was too creative not to share. I wish I had come up with it!

Photographers out there....DO THIS! :-)

Have a fantabulous day!!

15 days until CHRISTMAS!

How do you handle rejection?

I got rejected from a college 3 years after I applied to it. I kid you not!
I mean, who wouldn't want this gem representing their school?

When I was home from college one Christmas break, my mom said I had a letter from a college in New York telling me they regret to inform me I was not accepted and should try and apply next year.

Then I cried my eyes out for 10 days straight

Actually I laughed. 3 years later come on New Yawk!
But it did bring back those memories of college rejection letters

And rejection in general.

I came across a blog recently by a man who challenged himself and documented it
He has a fear of rejection, and pledged to make one crazy request a day for 100 days and vlog it
The purpose is to get over his fear of rejection

Like....

Play soccer in someones backyard
Ask for a tour in a grocery warehouse
Ask to be a live mannequin in Abercrombie

And my favorite
Ask someone at Krispy Kreme to make Olympic ring donuts

Seriously watch this!

I just thought this guys challenge was SO cool and so amazing and inspiring!
I just had to share with you all!
Check out his blog here!

I will be the first to say I don't handle rejection well either.
It scares me! And I hope one day to not let it bother me as much as it does today.

How do you handle it?

I birthed an Elf

No I am not with child…..yet ;-) However I thought it would be kind of fun to get an Elf on the Shelf for Kurt and I so that every morning we can see where he’s moved to.  Like I know I want to put him in a plastic bag and lay him in the toilet so when Kurt goes for his morning you know what, Elfy is starting him in the eye.

Also, when in 20 years the new Elf on a Shelf looks like a jacked, muscular version of an Elf, I will want to still have the original for my kids. Hello?! Have you seen Barbie turned to Bratz dolls? Not cool doll makers!

Anywho, we are lying in bed last week and I’m telling Kurt about the purpose of Sir Elf. How he comes to people’s homes to keep watch for Santa. I also told him he needs a name. I left Kurt in charge of the name, and told him to simply come up with something cute and random to name our Elf.... like, Pookie, or Chippy.

Jason.

He looks like he's thinking naughty thoughts, doesn't he?

Kurt decides Jason. First of all, we don’t know any Jason’s,
second of all, JASON!? Where did he even come up with it?

After I laughed my head off for the rest of the night, I decided
Jason was going to be his name.

The Adventures of Jason begins...
