Friday's Letters: I am hideous

Dear photo above: This is the reason why face masks should be done in the comfort of your own home where no one can see the hideousness that ensues. Oh and yeah.. adding bright lipstick makes you feel prettier.

Dear Kurt: I am SO proud that after three years as a contract employee, you were finally brought on as full time. No one deserves it more than you! :-)

Dear golf: I can't wait to play you again soon! Itchin' to get out on the links!

Dear wine:
Why do you give the perfect buzz?

Dear Lil Wayne: I'm totally buying stuff from your new clothing line TRUKFIT. Whattup gangsta? Need a personal assistant?

Link up with Ashley for Friday's Letters! :-) Have a beautiful weekend everyone!!

The perfect engagement ring

Before you guys go ape-shit and think I got engaged, relax! No, Kurt has not decided to get down on one knee and whisper sweet words of wedding bells in my ear and tell me how much he can't wait to decide between lilies or lilacs and how he wants sew our wedding date in all of his undies.

Trust me when I say this. Kurt has no idea about anything with weddings. He didn't even know sometimes couples have more than one bridal shower. Hmm

Okay before I go throwing Kurt under le bus, let me fess up and say I don't know much about weddings either. I know what looks nice, I know what I don't want, and I know I definitely want something like this somewhere in my wedding venue (preferably close to my table).

But my question for all of you beautiful friends, how the effing F do you decide what type of ring you like?

From our very rare conversations on engagement and marriage, Kurt has already told me that I will have ZERO idea when it is coming, nor will he give ANY hints, nor will we ever go try on rings together. I kind of like that :-) I like the element of surprise, but that's just me! Everyone is so different and that's what I love when I listen to people share their engagement stories.

But what he has told me, is that even though he kind of knows what I like as far as jewelry, he would like a tiny bit of insight in what type of rings I like. So am I saying it's coming soon? Probably not. Maybe in the next year and a half? We'll see!

How do you decide what type of ring you like? Besides the obvious, meaning going to the store and trying them on with your girlfriends or by yourself. Even if you aren't engaged or married, do you know what you like?

What are things to think about? Getting it snagged on your panties as you pull them on? Cutting your loved ones body when you wrap your arms around them? Making sure it sparkles juuuuust right in perfect summer sunlight? One stone? Two stone? Three stone? 1 tequila 2 tequila 3 tequila floor?

I need some insight here :-)

Sorry! I'm a competitive girlfriend

One of my favorite things about Kurt and I's relationship is how competitive we are...with each other. Relax...it's just playful, mostly. Except for the times when race each other home from somewhere in our cars on different routes to see whose route is faster, and then boasting when one of us is the winner. That may not be the safest thing.

A few summers ago, Kurt and I were living in this small apartment in Boston for 3 months while we were doing internships. It was the first time we lived together and we were excited. Money was tight, we ate lots of soup and sandwiches, and didn't get to go out as much as we wanted. But it was probably one of my favorite times with him.

We love the game SORRY! Remember that game? So that summer, almost every night after work, we'd play maybe 3 or 4 games and keep track of who won. It went on all summer. 150+ games later, I won for winning the most games YAH! I may have bragged about it for months.

We started it again. And right now, I'm killing Kurt by at least 5 games. Every time we each win a game, we run to the fridge to tally up. And scream in delight. And brag in each other's face. I just love it.

Sad faces mean losers, hearts mean winners

Boo. Yah. Update to come on who gets to 150 games first :-)
